Out of the Shadows

A Caribbean Reef Shark emerges from the shadows...  Taken by Richard near Nassau in the Bahamas, this photograph captures the curiousity and inquisitive nature of the shark.  This shot was taken at night, where Reef Sharks are often in hunting mode, making them all the more curious.  Some may say that's crazy!  But the reality is that humans are not on the menu for sharks.  Shark bites are extremely rare - much more rare than the media would suggest with their sensationalized reporting!
