photograph of a clownfish in its anemone host

Deep in the Forest

This photograph shows a False Clown Anemonefish deep amonst the tentacles of its host anemone.  Clown fish have a symbiotic relationship with their hosts.  The anemone provides the clownfish with protection and shelter, while the clownfish provides the anemone nutrients in the form of waste while also scaring off potential predator fish.  Richard took this particular shot on a reef in Bunaken, Indonesia.  The False Clown fish can be found in parts of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Soloman Islands and Northern Australia.

Available in a variety of sizes as a print on fine art paper, or wall art on canvas or metal.  This print is a signed, limited edition, of only 25 prints.
